As the President of MDL Wealth Management Michael LaBarbera works closely with business owners, retirees, families and next generation professionals. With over 24 years of experience, his expertise in wealth management, estate planning and retirement planning gives him the ability to offer his clients innovative and creative strategies for complex situations. In 2013, he earned the AIF® Designation from the Center for Fiduciary Studies. This designation certifies that he has specialized knowledge of fiduciary standards of care and their application to the investment management process.
A Tampa native, Michael attended Jesuit High School then continued his education at the University of Florida, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the Warrington College of Business. After graduation, he returned to Tampa and began his career in the financial services industry.
Michael enjoys coaching his daughter’s travel softball team and spending time with his wife Sara, a middle school media specialist, and their two daughters, Ava and Madeline. Ava is an accomplished student and athlete, playing both softball and flag football, and Madeline is an avid dancer who loves to read. Michael is active with the Jesuit Alumni Association and likes to golf and fish in his free time.
